Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Thornton will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Bro. Jack Giles will officiate the service. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Thornton, age 58, of Bailey passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at his residence.

Jimmy was a humble man, who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a member of Church of the Way and was employed at Mitchell Sign Company.

He is survived by his wife, Angie Thornton; sons, Jimmy “J.T.” Thornton, II (Kathleen), Cody Guy Thornton (Jacquie), and Daniel Blake Thornton (Joanna); grandchildren, Kaylee Addison Thornton, Lillian Grace Thornton, and Charlotte Norma Thornton; two sisters, Betty Delores McDonald and Melissa Phillips (Tim); brother (by choice), Gary Philyaw; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, William Owen Thornton.
