Joan Mary Bartik

Funeral services for Ms. Joan M. Bartik will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with U.S. Navy Chaplain officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Joan served for twenty years in the U.S. Navy as a nurse, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. She then went on to a career as a Certified Public Accountant last working for The Town of Marion as their town clerk until her retirement. She had a love for horses and cats.

Ms. Joan M. Bartik, age 85, of Meridian, MS passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Mississippi State Veterans Association Home in Collins, MS.

She is survived by her brother Harry J. Bartik (Candida), nephews; Matthew Bartik, Timothy Bartik, David Bartik (Michelle), and Stephen Bartik (Stephanie), niece; Lori O'Connor (Rory) and special friends; Mary and Doug Ethridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Alice Bartik.
