Joe Lee Shelby, Sr.

Mr. Shelby, age 76, of Toomsuba, MS passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Rush Foundation Hospital. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Shelby served his country in the United States Army. During his time in the military, he served three tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart.

He is survived by his children, Lynese (Robby) Goodman, Joe Lee Shelby, Jr. (Marcia), and Jason Shelby (Tina); grandchildren, Shelby Sullivan (Brandon), Grant Goodman, Christian Shelby, Daniel Shelby, Bryan, Blake, Taylor, Alex, and Lauren; two great-grandchildren, Maisyn Baxley and Ava Laine Sullivan; one sister, Liz Parker (Sonny); and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Shelby; his parents, Shade Lee and Margaret Earline Shelby; and siblings, John Shelby, Dorothy Ward, Mary Ward, Roger Shelby, Eva Embrey, Charles David Shelby, and Richard Calvin Shelby.
