Funeral services for Joe Wilkinson will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015, at 12:00 p.m., at Carmel Baptist Church with Dr. Joe Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Carmel Baptist Church with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Wilkinson, 79, of Meridian, passed away Monday, November 23, at his home. Joe proudly served twenty-two years in the United States Marine Corp. He faithfully served the Lord at Carmel Baptist Church for many years, and devoted his life to the service of others. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Edwina Wilkinson; brothers, Bill (Dartha) Wilkinson and David (Delma) Wilkinson; and sister, Sarah (Bobby) Rutledge. He was preceded in death by his parents, V.G. and Lorraine Wilkinson and his sister, Majorie Boswell Tester. The family requests memorials be made in his honor to Carmel Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Frankie Boyette, Jerry Creel, Ted Jenkins, John Flanagan, Gene Lawson, and Larry Whitehead. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
