Joel Manson McWilliams III Services for Joel Manson McWilliams III, will be held Thursday, July 18, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with Reverend Roy Dabbs officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. McWilliams, age 65, of Meridian, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Anderson Medical Center. Mr. McWilliams worked as a conductor with Norfolk Southern Railroad for 38 years. He loved sports and enjoyed coaching baseball and softball. He also played golf and enjoyed fishing. Joe Mc was everybody's friend and never met a stranger. If you were privileged to have known him, then you understand. No matter where or when you'd run into him, you were guaranteed a hug, a firm hand shake, and a "Hey Blood". You will be truly missed. "RIP Blood" Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Lynn McWilliams, of Meridian, MS; children, Joel Manson McWilliams IV, and wife, Aimee, of Meridian, MS; LeAnn Abercrombie and fiance', Mike Myers, of Bailey, MS; Darcee Ruble Cauret and husband, Gianni, of Rolesville, NC; Michelle Jones and husband, Morgan, of Brandon, MS; Bryant Ward and wife, Tiffany, of Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Aubree McWilliams, Joeye McWilliams, Katie Boman, Clay Boman, Kyle Boman, Tyler Abercrombie, Chris Abercrombie, Barrie Katherine Smith, Mabry Smith, Hope Jones, Jonathan Luke Ward, Logan Ward, Justin Cauret, Kian Cauret, Marina Cauret, Madison Land and Hunter Ward; sister, Anita Arthur, of Meridian, MS; nephews, Chad Arthur and wife, Sandy, and Clay Arthur; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel and Louise McWilliams, Jr. Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Goodman, Sonny Green, Don Carroll, Joe Hasson, Keith Gibson, C.P. Mosby, David Mixon, and Corky Null. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Stokes, Dennis Roberts, Jimmy Gressett, and Roland Wright.
