John M. Budgins

Funeral services for Mr. John M. Budgins will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with the Reverend Dr. Nathan VanHorn officiating. Burial will be held at the Mississippi Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. John M. Budgins, age 73, of Meridian, Mississippi, passed away on December 28, 2019 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Budgins was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois. He graduated from Marquette University of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a Retired U.S. Naval Lieutenant Commander who served his country 21 and a half years. Mr. Budgins was of the Protestant faith, and was a long-time member of the Briarwood Country Club.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy A. Gill Budgins; children, Jennifer Clark, Albert John “A.J.” Budgins; five grandchildren, Jamie Slone, Jessica Clark, James Clark, III, Cassidy Budgins, John Ashton Budgins; one brother, Robert James Budgins; two nieces, Jacqui Corso and Ann Franz; and one nephew, Michael Budgins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Etta Watson Budgins and his father, Albert Budgins.

The family requests memorials be made to The American Heart Association or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Pallbearers will be Pierce Richard Gill, James Steve Gill, Walter Leach, Ashton Budgins, James Clark, III, A.J. Budgins, James Larry Clark, Jr., and Robert James Budgins.
