Mr. Clarke, age 77, of Lauderdale, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Clarke was originally from Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was the former owner of The Liquor Store on Cooper Road in Jackson, MS.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Bethel Clarke of Lauderdale; daughter, Elizabeth Myers and husband, Roger of McCool, MS; son, Christopher Clarke of Atlanta, GA; step-daughters, Rhonda Turner and husband, John of Jackson, MS and Dina Thomas and husband, Michael of Lauderdale; grandchildren, Christopher Turner, Matthew Turner and wife, Ashley, Zachary Turner, Kayla DeLaughter, Preston Thomas, Jackson DeLaughter, and Caitlin Hopper and husband, Steven; great grandchildren, Brooklyn Turner and Clara Hopper; and brother W.F. Clarke of Ponca City, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Maude Clarke; brother, Warner Clarke; and sister, Jean Hill.
