Funeral services for John Wayne Hedgpeth, Sr. will be held Friday, August 19, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Reverend Kyle Naylor officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Hedgpeth, age 79, of Bailey passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at his home.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sharon D. Hedgpeth of Bailey; son, Wayne Hedgpeth (Cindy) of Meridian; daughter, Lauren Hedgpeth (Fred) of Atlanta; sister, Rita Morse (Bob) of Bailey; nephew, John Morse of Bailey; granddaughter, Casey Culpepper (Phillip) of Collinsville; great grandchildren, Grayson Culpepper and John Luke Culpepper; and great niece, Ella Elizabeth Morse.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John P. and Mildred Hedgpeth.

The family request memorials be made to Marion First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Gressett, Walter Lee Caldwell, Bill Rogers, John Morse, Tommy Clark, Ted Gambill, and John W. Booker. Jerry Hughes will be an honorary pallbearer.
