John Edward Holder, Sr. Visitation for John Edward Holder, Sr. will be Wednesday, December 7, 2011 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Mr. Holder, 65, of Meridian died Sunday, December 4, 2011, at his residence. He was a barber for over thirty years and the former owner of Golden Shears Barber Shop. He worked many years as a 911 dispatcher and was a volunteer fire fighter with the Longcreek Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Holder was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish and he also loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Anita Clark Holder of Meridian, children John Edward Holder, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Collinsville, Steve Holder and his wife Mallory of Evergreen, Alabama, Emily Holder Williams and her husband Kaleb of Meridian and Patti Holder of Meridian, grandchildren John "Trey" Edward Holder, III, Sted Holder, Micah Holder and Olivia Williams and his brother Steve Holder and his wife Nancy of Loxley, Alabama.
