John Julian Morse

Funeral services for John Julian Morse will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Marion First Baptist Church, with Reverend Kyle Naylor officiating. Burial will be at Gumlog Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Morse, age 47, of Bailey, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at Anderson Regional Medical Center, after a 7 ½ year battle with brain cancer.

Survivors include his daughter, Ella Morse; parents, Bob and Rita Morse; aunt, Sharon Hedgpeth; cousins, Wayne Hedgpeth, Lauren Hedgpeth; Ella’s mother, Brandi Griffin; special friends, Peter and Vera Smith; and friends of Little Acre.

A special thank you to the area churches for keeping John in their prayers.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mildred Hedgpeth; Julian and Mary Morse.

Family requests memorials be made to The American Cancer Society.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Roberts, Frances Stephenson, Wes Brent, Lance Brent, David McKee, Scott Culpepper, Timothy Fisher, and Benny Harrison.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Marion First Baptist Church.
