Memorial services for John Kotelec will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Kotelec, 61, of Collinsville, passed away May 3 at Rush Hosptial.

John was a graduate of University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology.  He was employed as a well-site geologist in the geo-technical industry.  John loved fly fishing and would even make his own flys.  He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-eight years, Meridien Kotelec; sister, Grace Stephens; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Irene Kotelec, and his sister, Katherine “Kitty” Kotelec.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to East Mississippi Animal Rescue, 2440 North Hills St. Suite #105 PMB 107  Meridian, MS 39305.
