John Mcdonald

A Celebration of Life Service for John McDonald will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Barnett Independent Church in Pachuta, Mississippi (approximately 4 miles south of Pachuta on Highway 11). Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. McDonald, age 61, of Pachuta, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017.

John was a member of Barnett Independent Church where he enjoyed singing Southern Gospel. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boxing, and was learning to play the guitar. His family was the greatest joy of his life. He treasured spending time with his children and spoiling his grandchildren. John loved the Lord and was faithful to share the Gospel every chance he had. He was loved by all who knew him and he will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Alice McDonald; son, Dexter McDonald (Tiffany); daughters, Mindy Flores and Lauren Daley (Dan); grandchildren, Courtney and Ross McDonald, Drew, Reece, Chase, and Sky Flores, and James and Grayce Daley; mother, Joyce Harrison; sister, Annette Woodall (Danny); brothers, Bud McDonald (Joan) and Jr. McDonald (Lori); and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie McDonald Sr. and his late wife, Mary Jane Holdiness McDonald.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Barnett Independent Church (mailing address, 961 County Road 282, Quitman, MS 39355).
