John Dryden Rawson Memorial services for John Rawson will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Mediator with Reverend Josh Messick officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Garden at the Church of the Mediator. Mr. Rawson, age 85, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at his home. Mr. Rawson investigated airplane accidents for the FAA and the NTSB and worked for Airbus in the United States. He received the Jerry Lederer Award from the International Society of Air Safety Investigators for outstanding service. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Louise Rawson; children, Lynn James, Shelby Chesney, Angie Romaneski, Jon Gail Kowall, Beth Phillips, Ann Corkery, and Rusty Rawson; step-children, Eric McNair and Tavia Huseth; 19 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Ada Rawson; sister, Marie Rawson; and brother, Isaac Hudson. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Haiti Fund at the Church of the Mediator. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the church.
