John H. Tester, Jr. "Poppa" Memorial services for John H. Tester, Jr., will be held Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Leon Ballard officiating. Burial will be at Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Tester, 66, of Meridian, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at his home. Originally from Statesville, NC, Mr. Tester was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired plant manager in manufacturing and was an active member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing golf and officiating various sports. He was currently driving trucks for Forest Products. Survivors include his children, John H. Tester, III, Brian M. Tester, Angela "Sissy" Tester, Butch Boswell and his wife, Edith, and Kathy Boswell; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Tester and his wife, Ann, and a sister, Betty Baldwin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Boswell Tester; his parents, John H. Tester, Sr. and Lucy H. Tester; and grandchild, Bethany Ann Marie Tester.
