John Morris Vincent, Sr. Services for John Morris Vincent, Sr. will be held Friday, June 8, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Owens of College Park Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Vincent, 90, of Meridian, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Golden Living Center. He was retired as a fireman from the Meridian Fire Department. Mr. Vincent served in the Navy and was a part time security guard at Anderson Regional Hospital and at Sears. Survivors include two daughters Kathy Lockley and husband Stan of Meridian, and Virginia F. Vincent of Meridian, son John Morris Vincent, Jr. and wife Lucy of New Orleans, brother James O. Vincent and wife Ann of Meridian, two grandchildren Shea Mowdy and husband Jason of Meridian and Charlie Lockley of Meridian, great-granddaughter Taylor Mowdy of Meridian and special friend Nancy Gipson of Meridian. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-five years Frances A. Vincent, parents Frank and Edna Vincent, brothers Frank Vincent and Rayford Vincent and sister Gladys Merritt. The family requests memorials be made to the Anderson Cancer Patient Benevolent Fund and the American Heart Association. Pallbearers will be Morris Wayne Vincent, Frankie Vincent, Vince Vincent, Jason Mowdy, Dale May, Howard Secrest and Joe Middlebrook. Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Hurtt and Raymond Crawford.
