Johnnie "J.L." Lee Brown, Sr. Services for Johnnie "J.L." Lee Brown, Sr. will be held Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 2:00 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Leslie Aucoin officiating. Burial will be in Semmes Cemetery. Mr. Brown, 78, of Meridian, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at his residence. He attended Glad Tidings Church. Mr. Brown was a devoted father, husband, a very dedicated hard worker and a Christian. He served in the Korean War, stationed in Seoul Korea. Mr. Brown was owner and operator of Brown's Sewer and Drain Service for over 30 years in the Meridian area. He often stated how greatful he was to have met so many wonderful people who he regarded as his friends. Mr. Brown will be remembered as a person who considered his relationship with people more important than any material posession. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Brown of Meridian; step-mother, Mildred Brown of Meridian; children, Johnnie Lee Brown, Jr. of Salem, Oregon, Linda Wickham of Salem Oregon, Dennis Brown and his wife Sherri of Nampa, Idaho, Jennifer Williamson and her husband, Chuck of Meridian, Olivia Butler and her husband Joe of Meridian; one step-daughter, Carolyn Bastida of Boise, Idaho; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Ilene Massey of Meridian, Joyace Akin-Thatcher of Meridian, Fay Martinez of Meridian; 2 brothers, Wayne Brown of Harvest, AL and David Earl Brown of Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John Clark Brown and Mary Alpha Scarbrough Brown; brother, Robert Lewis Brown; sister, Judy Brown; and step-daughter, Tina Eaves.
