Graveside services for Ms. Johnnie "Jo" Reid will be held at 1:00PM, Friday, January 24, 2025, at Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery in Bailey, MS, with Reverend Chuck Overby officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Ms. Jo Reid, age 87, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Ochsner Specialty Hospital. Jo was a kind and loving aunt and sister. She loved to spend time with her family. Jo was an independent, strong, and hard-working woman. She spent several years working at Holiday Inn South as a waitress and as a food service worker for Rush Hospital. Jo was loved by many and will be missed.

Jo is survived by her sister, Thelma Tolbert; nieces, Shirley Raley (Stan), Carol Rigdon (Wayne), LeAnne Mots, and Evelyn Thatcher (Gary); nephew, Bruce Akin (Joy), and numerous great nephews and nieces.

Ms. Reid is preceded in death by father, Samuel Edward Reid; mother, Cannie Calvert; siblings, Mildred Catherine Brown, Samuel Edward Reid II, and baby brother Reid, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be close family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
