Johnnie M. Stutts Services for Johnnie M. Stutts will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Larry Hilliard officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Stutts, 86, of Meridian died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Rush Hospital. She was a longtime resident of Meridian. She was born January 16, 1927 to Corry and Viola Mullins, and was raised in Atmore, Alabama. She was a dedicated wife and mother and was devoted to her family and friends and often helped others. She had many friends who have departed and others who are still with us. Johnnie was a devoted Auburn fan and lifelong member of the Methodist Church. She was a long term member at Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church. She supported local children's charities and was very patriotic. She also donated to the Auburn School of Pharmacy. She supported Audubon and enjoyed watching birds, especially eagles. Johnnie was survived by her son, Lee Stutts and wife Julia of Opelika, Alabama; daughter, Margaret Stutts of Meridian; granddaughter, Neely Stutts of Opelika, Alabama, and her sister Edwina Mullins of Mobile, Alabama. She has numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; daughter, Julie; her parents and three of her four sisters. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church, The American Cancer Society or Auburn University School of Pharmacy.
