Johnnie R. Swindoll

Funeral services for Mrs. Johnnie R. Swindoll will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Larry Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Swindoll, 85, of Toomsuba, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Regency Hospital of Meridian.

Mrs. Swindoll was a member of Cotton Heights Freewill Baptist Church; she was faithful and dedicated to her church and to her Lord. She had a friendly, generous, and outgoing spirit, never meeting a stranger. She loved her family, friends, church members, and Lord. She loved reading, enjoyed watching old movies and tv shows; she also loved to craft especially crocheting and sewing. She loved to make clothes and, with a pattern, she could make any outfit you desired. She was very courageous and strong willed, when she made her mind up to complete a task, she let nothing stop her until it was completed.

Mrs. Johnnie is survived by her children Mike Swindoll (Mia), Alan Swindoll, and Ron Swindoll (K.C.). grandchildren Jodi Jones, Clayton Swindoll, Zach Swindoll (Hallie), Graham Swindoll, and Liana Swindoll; two great-granddaughters, Anne Warren and Ada. One brother, Orville Skaggs as well as a host of extended family members.

Mrs. Swindoll is preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Swindoll and her parents Orville and Gladys Skaggs.

The Swindoll family suggests memorials be made as donations to the Alzheimer’s Associations, American Cancer Society, or to the Christian Motor Cycle Association in lieu of flowers.
