Johnny O. Carlee, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Johnny O. Carlee, Sr. will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Dr. Corey Fontan officiating.  Burial will follow at Bucatunna Baptist Church Cemetery in Clarke County.  Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Johnny O. Carlee, Sr., age 80, went to his heavenly home on April 27, 2019.

Mr. Carlee was born May 13, 1938 in Lipscomb, Alabama to the late Willie and Edna Carlee.  He enlisted in the Navy at the age of seventeen.  He served on U.S.S. Constellation, U.S.S. Long Beach, U.S.S. Thetis Bay, U.S.S. Taylor, U.S.S. Walke, U.S.S. Essex, and U.S.S. Bryce Canyon.  He served during the Vietnam War and retired after twenty years of service to his country.   He enjoyed hunting and fishing, being with his family and especially his grandchildren.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, JoAnn Davidson Carlee; his children, John Carlee, Jr. (Tammy), Kimberly Carlee Moore (Tim), Angela Sanderford, and Kevin Sanderford (Rachel); eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Pall bearers will be Malcolm Davidson, Jr., Michael Cates, Dave White, Jason Paul Davidson, Peyton Davidson, and Odell Shoemaker.  Honorary pall bearers will be Tom Alsobrooks and Billy Guin.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 30 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
