Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Marvin King will begin at 12 Noon, Monday, August 11, 2025, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Jack Kern officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites at Meridian Memorial Park. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. King, 69, of Meridian, died Thursday, August 7, 2025, at his home following a brief illness.
Johnny retired as a Service Technician, after a career spanning over 42 years, with Atmos Energy; his work ethic was unparalleled. He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa, where he currently served as President of the Meridian Chapter; He was also a Past National President of Phi Delta Kappa, where he traveled the country and exemplified leadership characteristics to all members. Johnny was also a member of The Loyal Order of the Moose in Meridian. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing; he especially enjoyed camping with his family. He was a die-hard LSU Tiger fan and enjoyed NASCAR races. Johnny was a man of his word, he was always there when needed and would always give anyone the shirt off his back for someone in need. Above all his family was his pride and joy.
Mr. King is survived by his wife of over 22 years, Pam King; children, Steve Hill (fiancé Amy) and David Daniels (Heather); grandchildren, Alexis Butler (Patrick), Jacob Hill (Destini), Averi Hill, Jewel Chaney (Gavin), Andrew Daniels, and Presleigh Daniels; five great-grandchildren; his brother, Travis King (Peggy); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Johnny is preceded in death by his son, Johnny Ray King; and his father, Troy Van King.
Pallbearers will be Scott Smith, Matthew Walker, Jacob Hill, William King, Ronnie Blackburn, and Mike Shelby. Honorary Pallbearers will be the brothers of Phi Delta Kappa.
