Mr. Mobley, 85, of Lauderdale, died Friday, May 16, 2025, at his home.
Johnny was lovingly referred to as “Dad” by most everyone who knew him. He was a loving father and leader of his family. Johnny proudly served over 20 years in the U.S. Navy where he earned the rank of Chief. He served abroad and was stationed all over the U.S. while serving his nation. In his spare time, Dad was an avid golfer, when his health allowed. He loved attending and worshiping at Evangel Temple Church, where he was a member for over 30 years. He enjoyed serving wherever he could in the church.
Johnny is survived by his children, Delores Vaughn (George), David Windsor (Marla), Judy Wiggins, and Tena Palmer; grandchildren, Shawn Brown, Deanna Wolf (Tim), Jenny Galarza, Heather Reynolds, Richard Brown, Ashley Lewis (Ryan), Natalie Rathbun, Denise Palmer, and Caroline Hernandez; a host of great-grandchildren; his brother, Conner Tucker, Alfred Tucker, and Deryl Tucker; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Mr. Mobley is preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years, Pauline “Noni” Mobley; and his parents, Johnny Mobley, Sr. and Iris Tucker.
The Mobley Family suggests memorials be made as donations to Evangel Temple Church in lieu of flowers.
