Joseph L. Brown Services for Joseph L. Brown will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, with Dr. Bob Rambo , Reverend Jim Wall and The Reverend Helen Tester officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Brown, 80, of Meridian died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Infinity Hospice. Mr. Brown is the owner of Brown Printing. He was very active in the Boy Scouts and was a Charter member of the Heritage Society of Choctaw Area Boy Scouts, Past President of the Choctaw Area Council, was recipient of the Silver Beaver Award and served in various other capacities with the Boy Scouts. He also served as past President of the Lions Club. Mr. Brown was in the Marines and was a veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife Choxie Brown of Meridian; his son Benjiman Brown and his fiance' Cindy Hedgpeth of Meridian ; his daughter Paige Brooks and her husband Ashley of Collinsville; grandchildren Anna Laurin Brown; Laura Ashley Brown; and Joseph Brooks and his sister Mary Catherine Brown of Meridian and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Emery Brown. Pallbearers will be Daniel Self, Nate Williamson, Stacy Sims, Barry Lee, David Hudson,Alan Lewis, Felix and Billy Bryan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Walker, Richard Dixon, employees of Brown Printing, Vernon Roberts, Joe Stewart, Irvin Martin, Noel Evans and the Wednesday Night "Prayer Meeting" Group.
