Funeral services for Joe White will be held Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Dale Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Morick Family Cemetery in the Suqualena community, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. White, age 70, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Rush Foundation Hospital.

Joe was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his family. Joe was an active member of Suqualena United Methodist Church and loved God, his church, and his church family. He served in the Army National Guard for over twenty years and was recognized as Soldier of the Year in 1983. His passions were hunting and fishing; and he was a talented wood-worker.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara White; children, Joseph Wylie White Jr. (Jennifer), Jason W. White (Deena), Terri Lightsey (Alan), and Brett Brumley (Jennifer); grandchildren, Kelsey White, Hayley White, Austin McDonald, Kennedy White, Hunter DeCamp, Lane Brumley, Madison Jo White, Gavin Brumley, and Alaina Lightsey;  brother, Jimmy White; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Alice White and father and mother-in-law, William and Anne Blanks.

Pallbearers will be Brett Brumley, Lane Brumley, Austin McDonald, Hunter DeCamp, Alan Lightsey, Greg Lea, Joe Mercado, Brian White, Jonathan Beavers, and Greg Beavers.

The family request memorials be made to Suqualena United Methodist Church.
