Joyce Miller Warren, 68 of DeKalb, MS, went to be with her Lord on March 7, 2018, after a 6-year battle with Autoimmune Interstitial Lung Disease.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Union United Methodist Church located on Firetower Road in Porterville, MS with graveside to follow at the church cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Dr. Virgil G Warren; parents, Alto and Opal Miller; and her sister, Janice Rainer.
Her survivors include four daughters, Carol (Rev. DeWayne) Warren of Houlka, MS, Dr. Emily Warren of Pelham, AL, Beth Warren of Mobile, AL, and Meg (Rev. Jeremy) Funderburk of Greenwood, MS; her son, John Warren of Greenwood, MS; and three grandsons, Warren, Walker and Wynn Funderburk.
Joyce was born in Red Level, AL on July 27, 1949 and spent her childhood there. She was a graduate of McKenzie High School and pursued a teaching degree from Jeff Davis Community College and the University of South Alabama. Her two most cherished titles in her lifetime were that of “Mom” and “Nana.” She was a faithful member of Union United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed membership in the Kemper County Historical Association, the Kemper County Forestry Association, and the Mississippi Forestry Association.
Pallbearers will be Danny Trosper, Tommy Trosper, Paul Trosper, Marvin Key Warren III and Mike Pilgrim.

Visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
