Funeral services for Joyce Hardy Smith will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Brother Dennis Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at West Kemper Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith, age 85, of DeKalb passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at her home.

Joyce retired after 55 years as a beautician. She had numerous hobbies including knitting, crocheting, and baking. She was a member of West Kemper Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Staniscavage (Terry) and Lynn Fontan (Joe); grandchildren, Carol Richardson (Keith), Tammy Kirkland (Janus), Jason Fontan (Mandi), Angie Young (Ben), Brad Hardy and Travis Hardy; eleven great grandchildren; step-children, Mary Harper (John) and Jack Smith (Dana); and numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roland Hardy and Jack Smith; son, Mike Hardy; parents, Lonie and Carlie Thompson; and sister, Bobbie Willis.

Pallbearers will be Mickey Vick, Chuck Fairchild, Frank Besecke, Billy Vick, Carlton Lafferty and Tom Irby.
