Juanita Skipper Covington Services for Juanita Skipper Covington will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Reid Whittington officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Covington, 77, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at her residence. She was born June 2, 1932. Mrs. Covington was a very active member of Prospect Presbyterian Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She touched the lives of many students and teachers while working at Northeast Elementary. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Burnside and her husband, Norris, of Meridian; son, William Covington and his wife, Tammy, of Meridian; granddaughters, Kim Eastman and her husband, Joe, of Meridian, Amy Covington Madaris and her husband Tony and Lee Ann Covington Golson and her husband Nick, all of Ocala, Fla.; grandsons, Bryan Burnside and his wife, Julie, of Pearland, Texas, Will Covington and Charlie Covington, both of Meridian; great-grandchildren, Nathan Golson, Sierra Madaris and Logan Madaris, all of Ocala, Fla.; great-step-grandchildren, Tyler and Baylie Eastman of Meridian; brother, James Luther Skipper and his wife, Betty, of Meridian; niece, Pattie Poythress and her husband, Jimmy, of Meridian; nephews, Randy Skipper and his wife, Kristie, of Meridian and Rickey Covington and his wife, Kathy, of Philadelphia; and several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Covington; son, Louis Covington; and her parents, Lem and Bobbie Skipper. The family requests memorials be made to Prospect Presbyterian Church. Pallbearers will be Bryan Burnside, Will Covington, Charlie Covington, Joe Eastman, Randy Skipper, Aaron Skipper, Don Malone and David Culpepper. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Culpepper and Ed Johnson. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.robertbarhamffh.com. Visitation will be today, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
