Juanita Smith

Juanita Smith, age 92, passed away April 8, 2023.

She was born July 28, 1930 to Clarence Boyd Mulloy and Doris (Richie) Mulloy in Meridian, MS. A longtime Irving resident, she resided in Bedford, TX these last ten years. Juanita will be remembered as a faithful member of Kirkwood United Methodist Church in Irving, Texas as well as an ardent supporter and member of UMW.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Smith and her sister, Eva Mulloy.

Juanita is survived by daughters, Kathleen Saxon and husband Alan, Beryl Olivit and husband Keith, and Sharon Szabo and husband Mark; grandson, Cory Scott Holbrook; granddaughters, Cara Leann Levenson, Whitney Lauren Detwiler, Kacey Lee Szabo; and six great-grandchildren.

If desired, donation in Juanita’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in Irving, Texas.

She will be laid to rest beside her late husband in at Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian, Mississippi on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.
