Services for Mrs. Judith "Judy" Barrett will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Cuba Baptist Church in Cuba, AL with Reverend Mike McKee officiating. Burial will follow in the Barrett Family Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Judy Barrett, age 79, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Regency Hospital. Judy was born in Wenatchee, Washington on October 5, 1945. Later, she married the love of her life, Oliver Barrett, on July 1963, together they raised two loving children.

Judy was a cosmetologist and had her own business. For many years, she also worked at the Lauderdale County Chancery Clerks Office. She served many years on the Lauderdale County School Board in the 1990’s.

She was a longtime member of the Toomsuba Baptist Church, but attended Cuba Baptist Church.

Judy spent the majority of her time as a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved spending time with her family and her dog, Hunter. Mrs. Judy was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

Mrs. Barrett is survived by her two children, Stephen Barrett (Kim), and Sharon Harwell (Jay); grandchildren, Hailey Curtsinger (Adam), Katie Barrett, Nathan Barrett, Tyler Moore (Kim), Lainie Simcox-Sears (Jeffery), Leyton Thomas, Luke Thomas, Kayla Shirley (Barett), Key Harwell, Bridges Harwell, and Barrett Harwell; great-grandchildren, Saylor and Harbor Sears, and sister, Linda Coulliette.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Barrett; brother, James Allen Coulliette; sister, Carolyn Barrett, and parents, James and Thelma Coulliette.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Moore, Nathan Barrett, Barrett Harwell, Key Harwell, Barett Shirley, Jimmy Upchurch, Adam Curtsinger, and Robert Hoffman.

Honorary pallbearer will be Luke Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Baptist Anderson’s Cancer Patient’s Benevolence Fund and Cuba Baptist Church.

The Barrett family will receive guests from 10:00AM until 10:45AM, prior to church services on Thursday at Cuba Baptist Church.
