Julia Mae Holloway Services for Julia Mae Holloway will be held Friday, September 21, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Danny Lanier and Reverend Dale Holloway officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Holloway, 84, of Meridian died Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Julia was a wonderful wife and mother who was a very strong Christian. She spent her life caring for and assisting others and was known her brutal expertise in Bridge and Scrabble. She was born in Picayune, Mississippi and was a long time member of Northcrest Baptist Church. Survivors include her son Carl Maurice Holloway and wife Diane of Starkville; grandchildren David, Nathan, Kristen Holloway and Amanda Best ; sisters Joyce Goetzmann of Picayune and Virginia Stockstill of Picayune; brother Norman Mitchell and wife Jewel of Maryville, Tennessee; special friends and caregivers Shirley Day and Dorris Eichelberger and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Milner Holloway; daughter Carol Holloway and brother Alfred Mitchell, Jr. Pallbearers will be David Holloway, Nathan Holloway, Tim Barber, Terry Barber and Nash Barber.
