Julia Tullos Knight

Graveside services for Julia Tullos Knight will be held Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Dr. Britt McCarty officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Knight, age 84, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Poplar Springs Nursing Center.

She was born in Havana, Florida and graduated from Florida State University. She taught kindergarten and was pre-school director at Ridgecrest Baptist Church and Broadmoor Baptist Church in Jackson for 30 years. Children were the love of her life. She especially loved her daughters and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy Knight McCarty and husband, Britt and Abby Knight Rowland and husband, Parker; grandchildren, Lee McCarty and wife, Briana, Ross McCarty and wife, Mandy, Mary Ann McCarty, Molly McCarty, Julia McCarty, Will McCarty, Scott Rowland, Ethan Rowland, Rand Rowland, Garrett Rowland, Austin Rowland, Daniel Rowland and Jackson Rowland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mattie Tullos; brother, C.W. Tullos; sisters, Maye Peabody and Nita Gray; and grandson, Grant Rowland.
