June Miller

November 24, 1956 — March 28, 2019

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Dr. Ralph Henson will officiate the ceremony.

Loretta June “June Bug” Miller, age 62, of Meridian, Mississippi, passed March 28, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. June was born to Carleton and Georgia Whitaker, November 24, 1956, in Meridian, Mississippi. She married John D. Miller February 1, 1980. Together they enjoyed traveling, music, food, the outdoors, and spending time with their family. Some of her favorite memories were at Lewis Smith Lake, Orange Beach, and “The Mountain.” In the 39 years they were married, June and Johnny lived life to the fullest, but most importantly, they poured themselves into lovingly raising their two sons.

June was preceded in death by her mother and father. She leaves as her legacy her husband Johnny and her two sons: Justin (Katy) and Cody (Rachel). She also leaves to cherish her memory her five grandchildren: Mikel, Marc, Isabela, Stevie, and Clayton. June is also survived by her siblings, Tim (Peggy) and Lynn (Billy).

June worked for Peavey Electronics for over 40 years, where she met her husband, some of her very best friends, and her group of sistas. As Johnny played music throughout their marriage, she gained many friends.  June was absolutely passionate about life. She was ALWAYS positive and laughing. She loved music, animals, and Alabama football. Her children remember her as an unconditional and free-spirited nurturer and friend.

Without her family, June didn't know what she would have done. She was extremely proud of her two sons and wanted them to be the best they could be. She wanted her grandbabies to know how much she loved them and how she couldn't have asked for better. She spent her marriage unconditionally loving her soulmate. June stated that she never knew what she wanted from life, all she knew was that she loved Johnny.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in June's name to East Mississippi Animal Rescue, www.eastmsanimalrescue.com .

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
