K. V. Jordon

Funeral services for Mr. K.V. Jordon will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 in the Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Dr. Mark Jordon, Rev. Dean Jordon and Rev. Bill Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jordon, 92, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at his residence in Starkville.

Mr. K.V. retired after 40 years as an auditor with the State Tax Commission. He was devoted to his work and loved his job. In his spare time he enjoyed golf, wood working and fishing as long as his health allowed. He was devoted to his wife of 69 years and family. He was a devoted Christian and servant with a giving heart. He served as a deacon, treasurer, choir member and youth boys Sunday school teacher at Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church. He also served as the bookkeeper for Kings Academy and was an elder of The Church of The Way, as well as a deacon at Highland Baptist Church and most recently was a member of New Covenant Church in Starkville. He also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity.

Mr. Jordon is survived by his wife, Louanne; sons, Robert Mark (Donna) Jordon and Dean Samuel (Autumn) Jordon; daughters, Cindy (Jimmy) Harrison, and Linda (Don) Gough; 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; one brother, John Samuel Jordon as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, step mother, three brothers and one sister.

The family requests that donations be made to the International Outreach Ministry in lieu of flowers.
