Katharine Elizabeth Newcomer Fisher Katharine Elizabeth Newcomer Fisher went to be with Jesus at 4:20 a.m. Monday, January 17, 2011. Kay was born December 17, 1921 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, spending early years in Ohio and later years in Florida. As a wonderful Christian woman Kay worked very hard, often alone, to raise her five children. Kay's prayer was for all to meet her in Glory with Christ. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home was in charge of her arrangements. Survivors include her children oldest son Tom, oldest daughter Jo Ann, third son Jim and youngest daughter Jean; sisters Mary Lee and Ruth, and brother-in-law Hal. Eight grandchildren Vanessa, Jason, James Thomas, Genineiviia, Crystal, Patrick, Kristina and Steven and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her second son Jasper who passed away in February 2005; her brother Jasper and sister-in-law Jeannie.
