Katherine Annette Carney

Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine A. Carney will be held Friday, June 22, 2018 at Russell Baptist Church at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Steve Taylor and Bro. Jack Kern officiating. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Carney, 73, of Toomsuba passed away June 19, 2018 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Carney was a member of Russell Baptist Church for over thirty years. She loved ceramics, sewing, and crafts. She enjoyed going to the Meridian Activity Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays to work with ceramics. Many looked up to her as a mentor and teacher. She also loved collecting chickens and roosters. She enjoyed relaxing in her recliner while watching t.v. with her feet up, cooking and creating and looking for new recipes, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of forty years, Billy Earl Carney; children, Steve Roberts, Robbie (Greg) Lane, and Renee (Glenn) Prince; grandchildren, Adam Trimmer, Ashley Annette (John) Caylor, Ryan Lane, and Hanna Lane, Joshua Weir, Tyler (Annie) Weir, Tonya (Justin) Criddle; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Voncile (Harold) Brannan and Brenda Grady; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her children, Boone and Jean Garcuea; great-grandson, John Edward Caylor, Jr.; parents, Woodrow and Thelma Gaff; and one brother, Rick Gaff.

The family requests donations be made to Russell Baptist Church and/or Fresenius Medical Care.

Pallbearers will be David, Kenny, and Dennis Robinson, Greg and Ryan Lane, and Glenn Prince.
