Katherine Harris Services for Katherine Harris will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove United Methodist Church with Revs. Dale Moore and Sephus Garrett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Harris, 72, of Meridian, died Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at Regency Hospital . She was retired as a professional secretary. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church where she was a past pianist, choir leader and Sunday School teacher. She worked as a professional secretary and office manager for Mel Bounds and Associates for 37 years. She was a loving wife for 54 years, devoted mother for 50 years and a treasured grandmother for 22 years. Survivors include her husband X.L. "Jack" Harris of Meridian; son, Ronald D. Harris and his wife, Debra, of Meridian; grandchildren, Nathan Harris and Elizabeth Harris; sisters, Evelyn Tillman of Meridian and Frances Kidd of Meridian; brothers, Edward Kittrell of Meridian, Everett Kittrell and Larry Kittrell, both of California; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and T. F. Kittrell and Walter Riley; and brothers, Walter, Carlous and Riley. The family requests memorials be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church . Pallbearers will be friends and nephews. Visitation will be today, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home, and Sunday, 30 minutes prior to services at the Church.
