Kathleen Reckus Anderson Services for Kathleen Reckus Anderson will be held Friday, July 19, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Joe Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Anderson, 85, of Meridian died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was a former nurse anesthetist. Survivors include her son, John Anderson and wife Debra of Meridian; daughter, Gay Anderson Whitworth of Meridian, and son, Dr. Joe Anderson and wife Jan of Meridian; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, special dear friends, Eliza Hubbard, Betty Sharmin and George Walston all of Meridian. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. William J. Anderson, Jr.; son, Dr. William J. Anderson, III; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Reckus; brother, John Reckus; sister, Mary Nickison; son-in-law Bill Whitworth and sister-in-law, Mary Kate Hollingsworth. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family requests memorials be made to St. Patrick Church Building Fund or Anderson Cancer Benevolent Fund. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at robertbarhamffh.com.
