Services for Kathleen Douglas will be held Wednesday December 16, 2009 at 3:00p.m. at the Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Justin Knight officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Douglas, 83, of Meridian, died Sunday December 13, 2009 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Douglas was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She was two time past president of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 79. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Lon Douglas, of Meridian, children, Sharlotte Cornish, of Marion, Jack Douglas, and his wife, Robin, of Meridian, Judy Ryburn, and her husband Jack, of Meridian, grandchildren; Steve Grace and his wife Shawnda, Bill Cornish, and his wife Candy, Kristi Tew, and her husband, Jeremy, Donna Shea Douglas, Niki Martin, and her husband Corey, Casey Smyth, and her husband, Murray, Jonathan Douglas, and his wife Carmen, and Mark Cornish, eight great grandchildren, sisters, Sara Joe Harris, and her husband, William, Donnie Lee Todd,brother, William H. Wall, sisters in law, Earline Wall and Dorothy Wall and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julia Ann and Frank Wall, brothers, John Wall and Frank Wall, Jr., son-in-law, Bill Cornish, and brother-in-law, Frank Todd. Pallbearers will be Bill Cornish, Steve Grace, Corey Martin, Murray Smyth, Mark Cornish, Jonathan Douglas, and Jeremy Tew. Honorary pallbearers will be members of VFW Post 79 and VFW Post 79 Ladies Auxiliary. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
