Kathryn Thomas Memorial services for Kathryn Thomas will be held at a later date with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Thomas, 81, of Meridian, died Friday, August 12, 2011 at R.P. White Nursing Center. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Mrs. Thomas worked at J C Penney for over 35 years. She graduated from Gadsden High School in Gadsden, AL. Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Akridge and her husband David of Munford, AL, Peggy King and her husband Travis of Collinsville, MS; grandchildren, Shannon Johnson, Katie Bateman and her husband Hunter, Kyle Johnson, Nick Mathes, William Akridge, Dana Akridge, Andrew Akridge, William King and Rebecca King; great-grandchildren, Haven Jones and Austin Jones, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Benny Benefield, Bill Benefield and Kenneth Benefield. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
