Kelva Lorraine McRae

Mr. Kelva Lorraine McRae, age 81, of Meridian passed away on May 11, 2026 at Ochsner Rush Hospital. Mr. McRae's family will have services for him at a later date. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Kelva was a long-time member of Bethany Baptist Church. He was part of the first graduating class of Southeast High School in 1963. Kelva retired from Georgia Pacific after forty plus years of faithful service and hard work. On December 17, 1965, he married the love of his life, Vivian Neal, and to their union, two daughters were born. He enjoyed farming and cooking for his friends and family.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Vivian Neal McRae; daughters, Vanessa McRae Thomas and Vicky McRae Stephens (Glen); grandson, Aidan Stephens; sister, Virginia Ann McRae Williams; sister-in-law, Deborah McRae; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorraine "W.L." and Virginia McRae; and one brother, William "Bill" McRae.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in memory of Mr. McRae be made to Bethany Baptist Church's Cemetery Fund (4475 Ponds Road, Meridian, MS 39301).
