Kenneth Roy Hurt

A committal service for Mr. Kenny Hurt will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Daleville Church located at Daleville Cemetery with Pastor Greg Willis officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Kenny R. Hurt, age 77, of Daleville passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at Regency Hospital in Meridian, MS.

Kenny was an avid outdoors man, he loved to hunt, fish, and be on the water. He played football for Meridian High School from 1962-1963. Kenny was a dedicated Ole Miss fan and loved watching sports of any kind. He owned his own satellite business called Southern Satellite, for over a decade. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all that knew him, he will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Shirley Willis Hurt; children, Lisa Baker (Mike), Angela Barber (David), and David C. Williams (Teresa); grandchildren, Michael Baker (Chelsea), Matt Baker, Ryan Barber (Sammie Jo), Justin Barber (Chelsea) Melissa Woods (Chris), and Natalie Williams; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Kenneth Hurt; parents, Roy and Clarice Hurt; sister, Martha Hurt Monette.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the funeral home from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, prior to the committal service at Daleville Cemetery.
