Kevin Lamar Thorne

Funeral services for Mr. Kevin Lamar Thorne will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Dan Lanier and Reverend Paul Davis and Reverend Wade Phillips officiating. Burial will be at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Thorne, age 48, of Southaven, MS passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 in Southaven.

Kevin graduated from Northeast High School and was a former member of Eighth Avenue Baptist Church. He previously worked for American Wire Tie and BellSouth and was employed with Home Depot.

Survivors include his daughter, Taylor Haney; parents, James and Bobbie Thorne; brother, Dr. Keith D. Thorne and wife, Dr. Mary Beth Thorne; nieces and nephews, twins, Joshua Thorne and Anna Beth Thorne, Luke Thorne and Linley Thorne; aunts, Kathryn Stephens, and Shirley Caraway; and numerous cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his grand-parents, Russell and Evelyn Holdcroft and Lamar and Myrtis Thorne; aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Sammie Purvis; uncle, Pete Caraway; cousin, Dewayne “Pewee” Purvis.

Pallbearers will be Greg Caraway, Allen Rickles, Michael Beasley, Dennis Baird, Johnny Murphy, and J.D. Ainsworth.
