Kitty Keene Cobler Services for Kitty Keene Cobler will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014, at 11 a.m., at Central United Methodist Church, in Meridian, Mississippi, with the Reverends Jimmy Harrison and John Branning officiating. Special words will be spoken by Jim Wall. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, in Meridian, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Cobler, 88, of Meridian, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in her home. Mrs Cobler was a faithful member of Central United Methodist Church, where she volunteered in many of their programs throughout the years. She was a cancer survivor from the year 1968 and since then, became an avid encourager to younger women about living a healthy lifestyle. Survivors for Kitty Cobler are: two daughters, Lynda Barrentine and her husband, Wayne, and Sandra Hammon and her husband, Randy; her son, Clayton Cobler and his wife, Lou; and a brother, Stan Keene. She is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and nine nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marl C. Cobler; parents, James and Flora Keene; a sister, Flo Morell; and two brothers, Elmer Keene, and Jim Keene. Pallbearers are as follows: Blake Hammon, Asa Haynes, Caleb Haynes, Blake Stewart, Jeff Lewis, and Mark Stephens.
