Kristie Etheridge Services for Kristie Etheridge will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Russell Baptist Church, with Reverend Jerry McMullen, Reverend Steve Taylor, Reverend Nate Ballard, Reverend Eb Fox and Reverend David Holifield. Burial will be in Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Ms. Etheridge, 40, of Meridian died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and will always be remembered as a loving and devoted mother to Baylie. Survivors include her son Baylie Etheridge of Meridian; mother Janet Shelton of Meridian; father Larry Etheridge and his wife Gin of Meridian; step-father Wayland Shelton of Meridian; brothers Gator Shelton and his wife Tracy of Meridian, Jay Etheridge of Meridian, Joey Etheridge and his wife Brandi of Chunky; sister Kara Skinner and her husband Jonathan of Little Rock; grandmothers Ada Lee Huff of Brookhaven; Essie Mae Shelton of Meridian; nieces and nephews Karleigh and Zackary Shelton, Jodi and Mallory Etheridge and Laruen Skinner; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lexie Etheridge; grandfather Emerson Etheridge; grandparents Evelyn and Nicholas Pearce and grandfather Boots Shelton. The family request donations be made to the Educational Trust Fund for her son Baylie Etheridge that will be set up at a later date. Pallbearers will be Joey Etheridge, Jay Etheridge, Gator Shelton, Joey Shelton, Jeremy Shelton, Jason Shelton, Andy Miles and Benji Carpenter.
