Lafloye C Riley

Funeral services for Mrs. Lafloye C. Riley will begin at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church with Bro. Calvin Price officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Riley, 86, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Fisher House surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Lafloye was an avid gardener and also loved to crochet and knit. She loved to travel with family and friends anytime possible. Her most treasured title was “Granny” which was given to her by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked for 30 plus years at Rehabilitation for the Blind in Meridian. She also was a teacher at her alma mater Clarkdale Attendance Center.

She is survived by her sons Dennis Riley and Kenny Riley (Kathy). Grandchildren, Kristina Mordecai, Chad Riley, Todd Riley, Amber Riley, and Andrew Riley as well as six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a special cousin, Helen Smith.

Mrs. Riley is preceded in death by her husband of 50 plus years Lewis A. Riley, Jr. as well as her parents Austin and Lucy Carmichael and mother in law, Katie Lee Riley.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Riley, Kenny Riley, Andrew Riley, Chad Riley, Keith Thomas, and Chad Fontan. Honorary pallbearer is Rowan Riley.
