Lamar A. Gidden, Jr.

Memorial services for Lamar Gidden, Jr. will be held Thursday, October 24, 2019, 10:00 am at St. Davids Anglican Catholic Church, 549 Mayhew Rd., Mayhew, MS 39753, with his friend The Right Reverend Presley Hutchens officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Gidden, age 84, of Lauderdale, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019 in Noxubee County.

He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, including river life, hunting, fishing, and farming.

Survivors include his son, Lamar Gidden III (Laura), grandchild, Lamar Gidden IV, of Meridian, MS; daughter, Fonda Shaia (Ken), of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Elliott Brown, of Denver, CO and Zanie Love Shaia, of Birmingham, AL; brother, William “Bill” Gidden (Patti), of Tunica, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.A. and Virginia Gidden.
