Larry D. Ulmer

A memorial visitation for Mr. Larry D. Ulmer will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Ulmer, age 62, of Meridian passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Ulmer worked for twenty years at the Meridian Fire Department before retiring as a captain. As a child, his dream was to become a fireman. He was an avid reader and an outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing and Nascar racing. He travelled far and near to hunt and fish. Mr. Ulmer was a member of the Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity and the Meridian Moose Chapter.

He is survived by his children, Bryan Smith and Heather Falgout (Chris); grandchildren, Seth Smith, Sadie Smith, Sophie Smith, Hallie Falgout and Hayden Falgout; mom, Ruth Janell “Nell” Ulmer; and his sister, Toni Ulmer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Dewitt Ulmer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the building fund of Northpark Church and/or Gateway Church.
