Services for Laura Maxine Sterling will be held Monday February 4, 2013 at 10 am at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr John Temple officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Sterling, 84, of Meridian died Friday February 1, 2013 at Bedford Care. She retired as an office manager for Jr Food Stores. She was a member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter Sharron Newton and her husband George of Destin, FL. Sons: Gordon Sterling, Jr and his wife Jan of Birmingham, AL, Mike Sterling and his wife Nancy of Meridian, MS. Grandchildren: George Newton, Jennifer Newton Fox, Brad Newton, Jacob Sterling, Cathryn Sterling Buse, Kelly Sterling and Michael Sterling. 7 Great Grandchildren. A sister Faith Crenshaw and her husband Tom of Tulsa, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon J. Sterling, Sr. Pall Bearers will be George Newton, Brad Newton, Michael Fox, Jacob Sterling, Kyle Buse and Michael Sterling. Family and friends may sign the on line guestbook at Robertbarhamffh.com.
