A funeral Mass for Mr. Lee B. Foley, Jr. will be celebrated Friday, August 3, 2018 at 12:00pm at St. Patrick Catholic Church of Meridian. A private family interment will follow at a later date in New Orleans, LA. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Foley, 85, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Lee was born in New Orleans, LA and attended St. Dominic’s Elementary School and Jesuit High School. He served in the U. S. Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He then attended LSU where he received his B.S. in Agronomy. He was employed as a pharmaceutical sales representative, with Parke-Davis (Pfizer). He married Kathryn Lee Newman, also of New Orleans in April 1966. They resided in Meridian, MS with their five children for the past 52 years. He was devoted to his family and to St. Patrick’s Church and School.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Newman Foley; children, Kathleen Boudreaux (Jean), Kevin Elizabeth Moorehead (Doug), Michael Foley (Alisa), Stephen Foley (Rebecca) and Janet Davis (Jonathan). Grandchildren, Samuel Vandiver, Will Moorehead, Claire Moorehead, Josephine Foley, Mary Lois Foley, Lee Foley, Ruby Foley, Andrew Davis, Sydney Davis and Caroline Davis, and one brother, David Charles Foley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Foley is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Foley Sr. and Aloysia Landry Foley; infant son, Joseph Lee Foley, and one brother, John Sydney Foley.
The family request memorials be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic School or a charity of your choice.
