Leslie Hogan "Les" Little, Iii

Funeral services for Mr. Leslie Hogan “Les” Little, III will begin at 1:00 pm Monday, December 10, 2018 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Tom Belcher officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Little, 87, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.

Les was a longtime member of Briarwood Country Club and a member of the “Big Boys.” He had seven holes in one during his golfing career. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War, serving as an assistant to the General. He will be remembered as a kind and understanding person, who was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather known as papaw. He was also a fan of Opera Music having once traveled to Santa Fe and New York to attend the Opera. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Meridian.

Mr. Little is survived by his wife of 28 years Hazel Little; children, Linda Carolyn McSpedden (Russell), and Betty Springer; grandson, Frankie Springer (Frankie); three great grandchildren, Jonathan, Sarah and Elizabeth Springer. Brother in law, Bobby Graham (Kristy), special caregiver and nephew, Dr. Bobby Graham, Jr. (Dr. Sharon) as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Les is preceded in death by two sons, John “Jack” Little and Leslie “Chip” Little IV and brother and sister in law Douglas and Martha Ann Little.

The family request memorials be made to a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.

Pallbearers will be honorable Ricky Roberts, Kurt Schroeder, Billy Britt, Tim Almand, Daniel Rigdon, Joe Mabry, and Frank Harman. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Almand and Lamar McLelland.
